A bridge that is too short does not meet the CRAM's recommendations in terms of acceptable slope.

- Hand pallet truck, maximum gradient: 4%.
- Handling truck, maximum gradient : 5%
- Electric pallet truck maximum gradient : 8%
- Forklift maximum gradient : 10%

In general, there are several criteria for choosing
the right loading ramp:

1) What type of vehicle should be loaded or unloaded?

- LCV 3.5 tons

- 7,5 tons

- Carrier

- Semi-trailer

- Container

- Wagon


2) What type of handling equipment will be used?
(NB: loading ramp capcity = Total weight of goods + Weight of handling equipment)

- Hand truck or manual trolley: 1000 kg:Lightweight aluminium plates - Type L

- Pallet truck or manual stacker: 1000 to 1500 kg : Lightweight aluminium plates - Type L

- Electric pallet truck or stacker : 2000 to 4000 kg : L8773 connecting ramp, L8779, Loading ramp BSM

- Electric or internal combustion forklift: 4000 to 6000 kg : Reinforced L8778 plates, Loading ramp SM, Sliding drawbridge leveler on rail


3) What is the maximum difference in level that can be made up?
(determines the length of the loading ramp, the greater the difference in level the longer the the loading ramp must be)

- Below dock level : L plates - dock boards L/8773

- Above docklevel: all models

- Sometimes higher, sometimes lower:
Drawbridge leveler on rail PAR, Loading ramps 8860, Loading ramps 8861/8862, Loading dock mini-levelers


4) What are the loading and unloading rates?
(Number of trucks per day/per dock)

5) What budget do you want, or can you invest in this equipment?
