When the leveler is in rest position the retractable obstacle inside the building secures the door from shocks and prevents the fall of forklift trucks after opening.

The Body Guard leveler has 2 security systems :

1) Anti-fall leveler : The Body Guard dock leveler prevents dock handling equipment falling thanks to its retractable obstacle..

2) Anti-squash protection : The Body Guard dock leveler also protects against the risk of crushing between leveler and truck. It has 500 mm refuge area (Leveler according to the standard NF EN349 and ED6059 technical guide INRS / CARSAT and the NF EN 1398).

 3) Sectional doors protection : When the Body Guard dock leveler is in rest position it protects the closed door of possible shocks and avoids the fall of forklift trucks after the opening of the door.

Once the truck is docked and chocked (leveler controlled by the wheel chock), The Body Guard leveler can completely unfold to unload the firs pallets of the trailer, and then put the lip on the trailer floor to finish the transhipment.

Anti-squash protection

This dock leveler Expresso has an anti-squash protection of people and an antifall lip for handling equipments.

On the picture there is a manual swivelling dock barrier witch ensure an aditionnal safety.

When the dock leveler is in rest position, the lip make a barrier onto the platform. So it prevents the falls of dock and secure the door of the dock when it is closed.

When the lip is on the trailer, the barrier (lip) and the refuge area have disappeared, and the antifall leveler functionning like a standard dock leveler.
